Jelly Roll takes 15-year-old daughter Bailey out of school to give her a birthday surprise

Jelly Roll wanted to get some “cool dad points” from his daughter Bailey Ann before her Sweet Sixteen. So, the country star took her out of school to take her to his Stagecoach performance over the weekend.

Speaking to the audience, Jelly Roll first brought his wife, Bunny XO, onto the stage, followed by Bailey.

“This may sound a little too corny, but I had to score cool dad points,” he said in a fan-made recording. “I took my daughter out of school today and I took her to California for this show. Don’t tell his teacher,” she quipped.

The proud father-of-two – who also has son Noah with Bunny – asked the crowd to help him pay him a special tribute on his birthday.

“My daughter is 15 years old. Like, in 10 days, she’ll be 16… but hey, I figured if I could do the old, ‘Happy Birthday to you,’ it would be a pretty dad way to embarrass her.” ‘

The crowd then joined Bayley in singing happy birthday as Bayley smiled on stage.

Born Jason Bradley Deford, Jelly Roll has spoken openly about how the birth of his daughter while he was in the hailstorm in 2008 inspired him to pursue his acting.

“I can’t be selfish anymore. Something that was completely up to me,” he told 105.7 point, “I knew it was an important task. So I wanted to take it seriously. And I did. I still take it very seriously today.
