Javed Rana visited GMC Rajouri; Ghani bus meets accident victims

Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister of Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment and Tribal Affairs, today visited Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri, who to inquire about the health of passengers injured in a tragic bus accident injured in Ghani in Meadhar area.

During his visit, the minister interacted with the injured patients and assured them all possible support for their treatment and rapid recovery. He directed the Medical Superintendent and Hospital Employees to provide the best possible medical care and provide all the necessary assistance to the victims.

The Minister along with Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa was with other district and regional officials.

Expressing deep concern over the increasing number of road accidents in the Pir Panjal region, the minister called for immediate and concrete measures to increase road safety. He emphasized the need to improve the infrastructure of the road in hilly and accidents. He asked for strengthening driver training and licensing system, strict enforcement of traffic rules, regular inspection of commercial and passenger vehicles, launch of public awareness operations targeted on road safety and reinforcing detailed data analysis of previous accidents to identify and address major risk factors.

Later, the minister met various public delegations in Rajouri’s Duck bungalow, and heard their issues and concerns.

He issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned authorities to the concerned officials to redress the time of real public grievances.
