Javed Ahmed Rana advocates compulsory bunkers in border areas to protect life

Mendhar, May 14: Minister of Water Power, Forest, Environment and Ecology and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana today advocated the need of compulsory bunkers for people living along the Line of Control (LOC) to protect them from irregular shelling in these areas.

He insisted that the provision of compulsory bunkers will go a long way to ensure the safety of people living in these weak areas with LoC.

The minister visited the second consecutive day, to assess the limit of loss to property and livestock. He expressed sympathy with the families of the victims, which have recently been affected by the fire incidents.

During his visit, the minister interacted with the affected families, reviewed their complaints and difficulties. He expressed deep concern over the damage caused to the people and assured them all possible support from the government.

After the visit, the minister called a meeting of sub-division officers, where he directed them to make a detailed plan for the restoration of the affected public infrastructure.

He emphasized the need for quick action to ensure that the general situation in the area should be restored as soon as possible in addition to the required public services.

The minister directed the officials to closely connect with the victim families and increase them all possible support. He directed that compensation should be processed rapidly to the affected people, ensuring that they get the necessary assistance for the reconstruction of their lives.

The minister inspired the officials to demonstrate the highest level commitment to public service and helped them efficiently by taking concrete steps to compensate them.
