Jasper, Park Canadian officials are giving tourism, ahead of wildfire’s anniversary

Jasper, Alta. -Park Canada and Jasper, Alta city officials today have to provide the comments and tourism of the community as they are ready to mark a one -year anniversary of a devastating forest fire.

The fire destroyed one third of the city of Rocky on July 24, 2024 and displaced some 2,000 residents.

To show the authorities to show the media tour of the area, it has been determined what has been done to overcome the fire, and Mayor Richard Ireland has to speak.

A week activities are also prescribed to bring the community together, including bike rides, painting workshops and a talkings circle.

Alberta Premier Daniel Smith started the anniversary after apologizing for a report from the city, stating that the province intervened in the reaction of forest fire.

Smith has said the report, which was based on survey and interview with hundreds of firefighters, untrue and unfair.
