Tokyo (AP) – Japan’s Meteorological Agency said on Wednesday that Russia had a powerful earthquake Dastard peninsula And released a tsunami advisor for Japan.

The agency said the earthquake occurred at 8:25 pm (2325 GMT Tuesday) and registered an initial magnitude of 8.0. It issued an advice for tsunami up to 1 meter (yard) along the Pacific coast of Japan.

According to NHK Television, Japan, the earthquake was about 250 kilometers (160 mi) from Japan’s most northern, Hokkaido in the four major islands in the country.

A tsunami clock, which is a relatively low level warning, has been released for air.

Earthquaker Xinichi Sakai, a university in Tokyo, told NHK that a distant earthquake could cause a tsunami that affects Japan if its subcontinent is shallow.

Japan is part of the region known as the Pacific Ring of Fire, one of the most earthquake-prone countries in the world.
