Japanis the largest airline of All Nippon Airways (ANA) is offering free domestic flights to British and European travelers this winter.
The initiative, running from November 24 to January 31, 2026, enables eligible passengers to book two complimentary internal flights on international bookings.
The goal of this plan is to reduce overtourism In popular destinations like Tokyo and Kyoto, visitors are encouraged to discover less visited areas.
To be eligible for the offer, travelers must pay for a flight to Japan from the UK or Europe with ANA.
This applies only to standard class flights and passengers may have to pay taxes and visa fees.
Domestic flights do not need to start and end at the same airport, allowing more of the country to be seen.
Although this offer is for a limited period, actual flights may be outside these times.
ANA flies to more than 40 Japanese destinations including HokkaidoOkinawa, Fukuoka and Nagasaki, that is, there is plenty of scope for adventure.
The airline says it hopes the plan will “make regional exploration easier and truly affordable” and enable “deeper, more sustainable connections with culturally diverse areas of Japan.”

The new initiative comes several months after the East Asian country An administrative body was established with the aim of reducing the impact of excessive tourism.
The government said the body claims to serve as a cross-agency “control tower” to respond to issues such as crime and over-tourism involving foreigners.
A spokesperson said, “Criminal and disorderly conduct by some foreigners, as well as improper use of various administrative systems, has created a situation in which the public feels uncomfortable and betrayed.”
