Traffic Police Headquarters, Jammu and Kashmir have issued traffic advisory for July 27, 2025. Due to the ongoing maintenance and poor road conditions in some parts, passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly.
Traffic will be regulated on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), in which Sanji convoy/LMVs passenger/private cars are allowed to allow proper weather and better road position from both sides. HMV will be allowed in alternative days. Cut-off timing is specified for Nagrota, Jokhani and Kajigund for LMVS/Passenger/Prival Cars.
Passengers are advised to avoid unnecessary restrictions between Ramban and Banihal, especially near the landslides/shooting stone areas. Vehicle owners are requested to re-check the fitness of their vehicles and move enough fuels before traveling on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.
The traffic plan and advisor for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 have been specified, including cut-off timing for LMV/passenger/private cars. Some vehicles, including tankers and empty FCI vehicles, will use the Mughal Road while returning to Jammu.
On the installment-cordial-antoning NH-244, LMVS/HPSV will be allowed to be subject to proper weather and good road conditions from both sides. Traffic movement on SSG Road and Mughal Road will also be regulated, which has time specified for LMV and HMVS.
