Munich:
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar discussed bilateral cooperation as well as global and regional issues with his British counterpart David Cameron on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Friday.
Mr. Jaishankar was here to attend the prestigious 60th Munich Security Conference, which claims to be the world’s leading forum for international security debate.
Indian ministers will take part in a panel discussion titled “Growing the Pie: Seizing Shared Opportunities”, while German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will also speak on Saturday.
“My activities at the #MunichSecurityConference started by meeting UK Foreign Secretary @David_Cameron. Jaishankar posted a photo of the conference on his official X account and had a great discussion on our bilateral cooperation as well as global and regional issues .”
“Views were also exchanged on the ongoing cricket match,” the minister said, referring to the ongoing India-England Test match in Rajkot, Gujarat, as both countries share a love for the so-called “gentleman’s game”.

Before meeting Cameron, Jaishankar also met with Peruvian Foreign Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olechea and talked about United Nations reform and economic cooperation.
Jaishankar will also participate in a ministerial lunch discussion on “Vishwa Mitra: Bridging the Divides” at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday. The conference was co-organized by the Embassy of India in India and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and featured Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Stephen Harper, former Prime Minister of Canada, Margaret Vestager will attend the meeting. Meghan O’Sullivan, Vice-President of the European Commission, EU Commissioner for Adapting to Competition in the Digital Age, and Professor at Harvard Kennedy School.
