Jailed gangster Raju Bhatti dies in Faridabad hospital

Gangster Raju Bhatti, lodged in Nimka jail, died while undergoing treatment at Badshah Khan Civil Hospital on Sunday morning, police said. They added that Bhatti received treatment in hospital for several days and died around 4:20 am on Sunday.

According to police, Bharti (41) is a native of Hussaini Shergarh village in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.

A total of 30 cases, including murder, robbery, cheating and cases under the Gangster Act, have been registered against him in Palwal, Faridabad and other parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana .

Bharti, who is currently serving a life sentence in Neemka jail in connection with the kidnapping case, was registered under the Arms Act in 2016 at the Palwal police station, police said.

According to police, Batty was hospitalized on February 2, and doctors diagnosed him with a stomach infection. He has since been receiving treatment in the hospital’s inmate ward.

At 2:00 a.m. Sunday, his health began to deteriorate and he was transferred to the emergency room, where he died during treatment at 4:20 a.m., police said.

Inspector Basant Chauhan, SHO of Ballabgarh Sadar police station, said: “The autopsy is being conducted at BK Hospital under the supervision of the judge and the body will be handed over to his family soon.”
