Amaravati, Oct 20 (IANS) Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has returned to India after a personal visit to London.

He left for London on October 11 to meet his elder daughter. The party said on Monday that YS Jagan returned to Bengaluru on Monday morning and will reach Tadepalli on Tuesday.

It is noteworthy that a special court for CBI cases in Hyderabad had given permission to Jagan to go to London.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the disproportionate assets case against Jagan, had later approached the court seeking cancellation of the travel permit granted to him. It is alleged that Jagan did not give his phone number, thereby violating the bail conditions.

The case is likely to be heard later this week.

Meanwhile, Jagan Mohan Reddy has extended warm Diwali wishes to Telugu people across the world. He wished that the festival of lights brings happiness, peace and prosperity to every home.

He said in his message that Diwali is a celebration of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance and divine power over destructive forces. He emphasized that this festival symbolizes victory, hope and new beginnings in the lives of people.

Extending his warm wishes, he said, “May this Diwali fill the lives of Telugu people everywhere with sparkle and happiness. May every family prosper in the light of lamps with abundant happiness, peace and good fortune.” He prayed for the well-being, success and harmony of both the Telugu states and the Telugu people around the world.

In another message, the former Chief Minister expressed deep grief over the demise of Maulana Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed, President of Jamiat Ulema Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and former MLC.

YS Jagan said that the demise of Maulana Shabbir Ahmed is very sad and shocking. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.

YS Jagan said, Maulana Shabbir Ahmed was a renowned Aalim-e-Deen (Islamic scholar), a committed leader and a noble human being, who dedicated his entire life to the service of the society. He said that Maulana Shabbir Ahmed’s selfless services towards the community will always be remembered.
