Amaravati, Nov 10 (IANS) Leaders of political parties from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have condemned the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi in which 10 people lost their lives and over a dozen were injured.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy posted on ‘X’ that he was deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the massive explosion that took place near the Red Fort metro station in Delhi.

He said, “I express my condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this extremely condemnable incident. Pray for the speedy recovery of all those injured in this terrible tragedy.”

Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development and Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh said he was deeply disturbed by the news of the explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi.

“My thoughts are with the victims and their families. I request the authorities to ensure that the injured receive immediate care. I am praying for peace and security in the area,” he posted.

“Deeply shocked by the tragic blast near the Red Fort in Delhi that claimed lives and left many injured. My thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the bereaved families and all those affected by this senseless act of violence. Pray for the speedy recovery of the injured and strength to those who have lost their loved ones. Now is the time to unite against the cowardly attacks,” YSRCP MP Madila Gurumurthy wrote.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao also posted that he was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of the blast at Delhi’s Red Fort metro station.

He said, “The reports of the deaths of many innocent people in this tragic incident are truly heartbreaking. My condolences to the families of the victims and I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.”

Telangana Jagruti leader K Kavitha posted, “Deeply shocked and saddened by the explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.”

The blast near Delhi’s Red Fort metro station on Monday spread panic in the national capital and prompted authorities to issue a high alert in the Delhi-NCR region, Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai.

Notably, Jammu and Kashmir Police in the morning busted an inter-state international terror module linked to terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, leading to the recovery of 2,900 kg of explosives, two assault rifles, pistols, timers and other material in Faridabad area of Haryana near New Delhi. Police said seven people have been arrested so far.

According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, the action has been taken after the discovery of Jaish-e-Mohammed posters pasted at various places in Bunpora Nowgam, Srinagar on October 19, threatening the police and security forces.

After the explosion at the Red Fort, this recovery took place just a day before the second phase of Bihar assembly elections.
