A Ontario Judge is ready to punish a teenage girl this afternoon in the case of a teenage girl Found guilty of murder in a deadly flock attack On a homeless Toronto man.
The girl was 14 when she and seven other teenagers attacked Kenneth Lee in a downtown Toronto Park in December 2022. The 59 -year -old man died in the hospital after an emergency surgery.

The girl also tried to convict her for murder even after her case started earlier this year, but Crown dismissed her petition.

Prosecutors initially stated that they would ask the girl to spend some time in custody as part of their sentence, but changed the course earlier this week, instead to argue for a 16 -month probation sentence, to argue for a 16 -month probation sentence, with the first year under a intensive support and supervision program.
Defense argues that the girl should be sentenced to 12 months of probation, with a minimum six months in an intensive support and supervision program.
On Wednesday, the girl offered a turbulent apology as she addressed the court, saying that she accepts full responsibility for her actions and is trying to change herself for better.
“I know I don’t say anything that ever happened, but I still want to say that I am really sorry, and I accept the entire responsibility, and I am trying to grow and learn from it as a person, and the actions and decisions I have disappointed, I am disappointed,” he said.
The late -night attack surprised the city, captured the security video, and the footage served as the central piece of evidence in the test.
The prosecutors argued that the girl was what Lee injured Lee, stabbed her with a small pair of scissors in a knife or scissors. However, Raksha argued that it was impossible to say from the video that Lee was stabbed or when Lee did not realize herself that he was stabbed at that time.
No knife was recovered in the investigation, and the girl’s lawyers said that she did not have one at any point that night.
At the time of his arrest, he had two small pairs of scissors and some tweezers, the court heard.
After stabbing a knife in the heart, Lee died of hemorrhage shock, the forensic pathologist who investigated his body was told by the court. The pathologist testified that it was unlikely that the scissors found with the girl would have caused Lee’s heart wound, although they could have caused a small, non-fatal stab wound near their armpits.
Campbell said the prosecutors did not prove beyond a proper suspicion that the girl was responsible for a fatal injury, or that she had a state of mind for murder.
