Washington:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday it was unclear whether ongoing talks would lead to a hostage deal, declining to discuss specifics but saying Hamas needed to “get back to a reasonable situation.”
In an interview with CBS News, Netanyahu added that he would later meet with staff to review a dual military plan that would include operations to evacuate Palestinian civilians in Gaza and destroy remaining Hamas camps.
“If we get a deal, it’s going to be delayed, but it’s going to happen. If we don’t get a deal, we’re going to do it anyway,” he told CBS.
