Four patients died from a lack of oxygen on Friday when one of the few operating hospitals in the war-torn Palestinian territory was attacked by Israeli forces, the health ministry in Hamas-controlled Gaza said.
“The complex’s generators stopped working and the power supply was cut off,” the health ministry said, raising concerns about the fate of six other intensive care patients and three children in the nursery of Khan Younis Nasser Hospital in the southern city.
“Given that the complex is now in full control, we hold the Israeli occupiers responsible for the lives of patients and staff,” the company said in a statement.
