The World Health Organization (WHO) said it was working to gain access to Al-Nasser Hospital following the Israeli attack. Dr Naheed Abu Taima, director of Khan Younis Nasser Medical Centre, told Al Jazeera the situation at the hospital was “catastrophic”. The Israel Defense Forces said its ground forces had killed many “terrorists” as fighting continued in southern Gaza. The Gaza Ministry of Health stated that Israel’s war on Gaza has resulted in at least 28,775 deaths and 68,552 injuries. A Lebanese armed group said five of its members were killed in an Israeli attack overnight. Hezbollah announced that two of its members were killed, while the alliance’s Amal group said three members died in the attack. According to Israeli intelligence agencies, once the war ends, Gaza will become “an area in deep crisis” and Hamas will survive as a group.
