The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India has issued a strong statement, urging the Indian media outlets that it is described as “fake and fabricated news”, while calling for a commitment to strengthen the integrity and bilateral relations of journalism.
In a press statement posted through its official handle @iran_in_India on X, the Iranian embassy said, “It has been observed that some Indian news outlets, including some famous media, have published the baseless reports insulting Iran and its great leadership.”
The statement warns that “such irresponsible reporting not only reduces public belief, but also severely damage the professional reputation of these media institutions among its audience.”
Expressing full respect for public rights to reach freedom of expression and information, the embassy called the Indian media to “rely on reliable and fair sources and refrain from spreading sensational and wrong material about Iran.”
The statement also recalled Iran’s recent military conflict with Israel, mentioning the role of the country’s top leadership. “The supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution, as Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, successfully directed military campaigns during the ‘Batthal-Day War’ launched by the Zionist regime against Iran, in which the Islamic Republic of Iran was able to face a huge necklace on the Zionist rule by the decisive acting of self-benefit.
The embassy urged the Indian media to maintain integrity and support long -term relations between the states of two civilization.
The Iranian embassy said that “it hopes that Indian media will maintain the integrity of journalism, avoid participating in external publicity efforts, and contribute to strengthening the historical relations of friendship and mutual honor between two great-partners.” (AI)
