Tensions in the Middle East are high after Iran’s embassy in Syria was attacked, killing its senior commander, and Iran vowed to retaliate against Israel. Israel has begun strengthening its defenses and halting the furloughs of all combat troops. The United States also warned Israel ahead of Saturday of the attack, raising concerns that the ongoing war in Gaza could spread across the Middle East, the report said.
However, as Iran reportedly prepares for military aggression against Israel, it faces another problem on its southeastern front border with Pakistan.
Thursday, Iranian state media reported that at least 11 members An attack by the Sunni Muslim group Jaish al-Adl in the southeastern Sistan-Balochistan province killed three security force personnel. The attack came months after Iranian drones and missiles struck Pakistan’s Balochistan province, home to the Jaish al-Adl base.

The “Islamic Army” is a Sunni terrorist organization recognized by the United States and Iran. It has been carrying out terrorist activities in southeastern Iran for a long time. The terror group carried out the attack in the restive Sistan-Baluchestan region, which has a predominantly Sunni Muslim population.
Jaish al-Adl says it seeks greater rights and better living conditions for Iran’s predominantly Shiite Baloch minority.

Video footage on social media on Thursday showed Iranian drones hovering over the towns of Chabahar and Rasker where clashes took place.
In December, Jaish al-Adl attacked a police station in Rask, killing 11 security personnel.
In January this year, Iran used missiles to attack two bases of the armed group in Pakistan, prompting Islamabad to quickly take military retaliation against so-called Iranian separatist militants.
However, following Thursday’s attacks in Chabahar and Lasker, Pakistan issued a statement “unequivocally condemning this heinous and despicable terrorist attack.”
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying: “We express our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and pray for the recovery of the injured. Pakistan fully supports the people and government of Iran in the fight against terrorism.”
Two Iranian generals and five military advisers were killed in an airstrike on the Iranian diplomatic compound in the Syrian capital Damascus on Monday.
Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi of the Quds Force, one of the five branches of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed in an airstrike. Hamas’s military wing, the Qassam Brigades, believes Zahedi played an important role in Hamas’s invasion of southern Israel on October 7, although Iran denies any role in the terrorist attack.
Although Israel has neither confirmed nor denied the attack, Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singer said on Tuesday that the United States had assessed that Israel was responsible.
Iran does not have the military power to confront Israel and may rely on its proxies to attack the Jewish state. Earlier today, Iraqi Islamic resistance groups reportedly backed by Iran attacked a key Israeli air base in the city of Ashdod, 32 kilometers south of Tel Aviv.
The Iran-backed Lebanese terror group Hezbollah is also involved in the Gaza war, intermittently attacking Israeli forces on the northern front.
