OTTAWA – Two journalists working for Iran International in Canada are among dozens of those who have been targeted by governance officials in recent weeks, they are called networks.
Iran International is a major online broadcaster that covers the news in Iran and its migrants, including anti -government protests that advocates say that censors have been censored within Iran.
Network spokesman Adam Bailey says that Canadian law enforcement officials have directed a journalist to take security precautions after receiving the message, which means that he can be kidnapped and taken outside Canada.
Another journalist reports Iranian officials scaring their relatives in Iran due to their work in Canada.
The network is coming forward a week after Canada and more than a dozen other countries, including journalists and Jewish citizens, “said the efforts of Iranian intelligence services to kill, kidnap and harass people”.
The Canadian Press has asked Iran’s diplomatic mission to comment from the United Nations, but has not received any response yet.
