iQoo 12th Anniversary Edition confirmed to launch in India soon

iQoo 12 will be launched in India in December 2023, a few weeks after its debut in China. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports wired fast charging. The phone runs Android 14-based UI and comes with a Quad HD AMOLED display. It has a triple rear camera unit with periscope cameras and is available in two RAM and storage configurations. Now, iQoo has confirmed that it will soon launch the iQoo 12 special anniversary edition.

iQoo India CEO Nipun Marya announced the upcoming launch of iQoo 12th Anniversary Edition model in India in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). In an open letter attached to the post, company executives said this is the first anniversary edition phone that iQoo will launch in China. This marks the end of the company’s four-year journey in India.

Neither the company nor the executive confirmed any other details about the iQoo 12th Anniversary Edition. We don’t know how it differs from the regular iQoo 12 products in the country. As with many special edition phones, one of the things that may be different is the color options and/or finish of the rear panel. It is speculated that the upcoming version may come in a red colorway, similar to the Burning Way version launched in China. However, as no official information has been revealed, readers are advised to take this speculation with a grain of salt.

iQoo 12 was launched in India with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and dedicated Q1 chip for enhanced gaming performance, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 onboard storage. It runs FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14 and features a 6.78-inch 144Hz Quad HD LTPO AMOLED display. The phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 120W FlashCharge.

In terms of optics, the iQoo 12 comes with a triple rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, another 50-megapixel sensor paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom Camera. The front camera features a 16-megapixel sensor. The iQoo 12 is available in Alpha and Legend colors and is priced in India at Rs. The 12GB + 256GB option is priced at Rs 52,999 and the 16GB + 512GB version is priced at $57,999.
