The opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is about to kick off with the first match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Friday. Every year IPL hosts a glittering award ceremony and this year is no exception. This year’s line-up includes Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, singer Sonu Nigam and music maestro AR Rahman. The opening ceremony will be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai ahead of the IPL 2024 opener between defending champions CSK and RCB.
The opening ceremony is expected to begin at 6:30 p.m., with the game starting at 8 p.m. On the eve of the opening ceremony, IPL organizers also announced that DJ Axwell, a member of Swedish House Mafia, will also attract the attention of fans before the first game.

Where to watch IPL 2024 opening ceremony?
The opening ceremony will be broadcast live on Star Sports Network and viewers can watch it for free on Jio Cinema.
IPL organizers have taken a slightly different stance in the season opener, breaking the trend of defending champions taking on runners-up with MS Dhoni vs Virat Kohli in the season opener. This season promises to be an exciting one, with many exciting matchups expected on the field.

The 17th season of the T20 league will see many reversals.
