Apple’s iPhone 16 series of smartphones, including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, are expected to arrive later this year and add some noteworthy features, such as for snapping photos and Video capture button. The non-Pro models are also expected to feature action buttons from last year’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. A new set of leaked images of fake phones appear to confirm previous leaks related to the design of the upcoming phone.

Tipster Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson) shared three fake images of all four iPhone 16 series smartphones via X (formerly known as Twitter). The images help visualize some of the changes coming to Apple’s next-generation smartphone lineup, including a redesigned rear camera layout for the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.

Previous leaks have suggested that Apple will feature a vertically aligned camera layout for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 models, unlike the diagonal rear camera layout introduced with the iPhone 13. The alleged pill is also shown in the leaked images of the dummy unit – both phones have a profiled layout, while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max appear to be slightly larger than the standard models.

A second leaked image suggests that all four models in the iPhone 16 series will feature an action button on the left side of the phone. First introduced on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the action button replaces the silent switch and can be reprogrammed to launch other tasks or shortcuts.

At the same time, the iPhone 16 series is also equipped with a dedicated shooting button, which is said to allow users to quickly click images. Earlier leaks suggested the new button would be on the right side of the phone, and a third image with a dummy unit shows it in the same location.

It is worth noting that Apple is still several months away from releasing the iPhone 16 series of smartphones. The company is expected to unveil new features for iOS 18 and macOS 15 at WWDC 2024 on June 10, and we’ll likely learn more details months before the company’s upcoming smartphones debut, which is likely to In the second half of 2024.
