Police A man heham has been launched after shooting and killing a person in North-East London.
Metropolitan police officers were called to Dinver Road Stoke newington On Tuesday at 12.18 pm for Gunshot’s report.
They found a man, 45, gun injuries. Emergency services tried to save the victim but were declared dead on the spot.
His family has been informed and is being supported by expert officials. A post -mortem and formal identity.
Parts of Dionwor Road and Stoke Newington High Street have been closed. The police is asking the public to escape from the area where possible.
No arrests have been made yet.
Detective Chief Superintendent Britney Clarke, who leads policing for the region for Mate, said: “Our team of detectives and forensic experts is working at a pace to establish the entire situation, which led to the sad death of the man.
“We understand that the incident will create concern within the Stoke Newington community, however, we believe it is an isolated event at this level of investigation, in which there is no comprehensive risk to the general public.
“Residents may expect to see an increased police appearance in the area with a crime site, as we make ourselves. We thank them for their patience and cooperation at this time.
“We urge anyone who saw the incident, or whoever has any information that can help us, to come forward as soon as possible.”
