home and Garden

Whether you’ve just moved house or your four walls are in need of a makeover, it can be difficult to know where to start when it comes to this. interior designFrom tableware and plush rugs to artwork or that all-important lighting, getting the arrangement right in your home is a fine balance.

Just as the latest catwalk trends can help steer your wardrobe, designs from the biggest studios, designers and brands can inspire your interior. From lighting and materials to color palettes and tiling, luxury interiors trends soon make their way to the high street, as they do to the fashion world.

Zara is a favorite for expensive-looking designs that lean toward minimalism and mid-century. Elsewhere, John Lewis’ collaboration with Colageri and Sanderson offers an affordable way to shop luxury, while homewares from H&M and M&S combine bargains with eye-catching designs. But if you really want to know where to look, turn to industry-insiders. While they may buy from luxury designers for hospitality or residential projects, interior designers know when they see a good thing on the high street, whether it’s particularly good or not. table lamp Or a statement vase.

The key to adding some good design to your home isn’t a complete makeover, but a series of well-thought-out choices. “This doesn’t require a complete redecoration, but rather integrating small decorative pieces on top of existing furniture,” says founder and interior designer Rosie Gangar. “Try adding a new vase on top of an existing sideboard or replace your lampshade with something more adventurous.”

So, to help incorporate some of the latest interior trends into your home, I asked three designers what they’re forecasting for this season — and from high street to affordable homewares to shop now.

Industry insiders know they’ve found a good thing on the high street when they see something ,Andreas Christodoulou/Tabitha Organ/Rosie Ganger,

Andreas Christodoulou is the founder of dre’s houseA Hackney-based design studio behind the interiors crafted at the Kensington Hotel, Amber Locke and the upcoming East Sussex retreat, Powdermills.

Rosie Gangar Has almost a decade of experience in the industry. After working at some of the biggest studios in the industry – including David Collins – he set up his own studio, gangarLarge scale residential projects are underway in some of London’s most prestigious postcodes.

tabitha organ Tabitha Isobel is the founder of Boutique Interior Design Studio. Working on residential, hospitality, retail and workplace projects across the UK, he has designed spaces ranging from Carl Friedrich’s Regent Street store to an Islington townhouse.

color palettes

“There is often overlap between the fashion and interior industries, such as the re-emergence of chocolate and earthy browns,” says Ganger. “Pantone’s color of the year for 2025 was Mocha Mousse, but as we move deeper into this autumn/winter, these tones are becoming richer and more luxurious.”

“We’re seeing a more earthy, rich and ‘grounder’ color palette featuring browns, olives, rusts,” Organ elaborated. “These are being used not just as accent colors, but with much greater confidence within fixtures, fabrics and surfaces.”

The key to incorporating deep chocolate brown into your home is to complement it with the right color palette. “Try a bright, sweet aquamarine or lemon yellow—as seen in Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades collection, which launched at Milan Design Week earlier this year,” says Ganger. “It feels fresh and unexpected but with just a hint of nostalgia.”

Christodoulou says that “high-gloss finishes are back, but only in rich, saturated colors.”

modern people

“Modern Folk is the design style I’m most excited about right now,” says Christodoulou. “It feels comfortable yet elevated.” An especially good design choice for older homes with existing character, Christodoulou says it’s surprisingly easy to achieve.

“The look is defined by an earthy palette, a healthy dose of mid-century influence, and an eclectic mix of curiosities,” explains Christodoulou. “Done right, it feels like an heirloom: as if a space has been lovingly curated over time, each piece carefully selected over decades – think the best of the last two hundred years brought together under one roof.”

“Patchwork appears in many applications, from rugs to mirrors, ceramics and wood,” says Organ. “It adds a great graphic quality while being quite playful.”

Christodoulou “looks to the patchwork quilt to bring warmth and softness to a room – it’s just as happy on the bed as it is pulled under the sofa’s duvet for the day.”

craftsmanship

This season, traditional craftsmanship is firmly on the moodboard. As Gangar points out, “With most of us living such digital lives, we are seeing a revival of traditional craftsmanship, be it hand-painted porcelain, hand-carved woodwork, hand-blown glass or hand-dyed or hand-woven textiles, e.g. Loewe’s Creed Teapot,

Light

Creating the right ambiance, any design-nut would agree that lighting is of utmost importance in any home. This season, “the application of light is being pushed further and we’re moving away from purely functional lighting, but promoting lighting in sculptural and statement forms,” says Organ.

“There’s a lighting revolution happening, and it’s all about softer, lower-level lighting,” says Christodoulou. “Swap harsh ceiling spaces for small but impactful lamps like the Habitat x Morris & Co. below – with a hint of deco and a warm amber glow, it’s affordable and mood-changing.”

Organ recommends this distinctive sculptural lamp from Zara Home, which adds instant charm to the corner of the room – and an ambient warm glow.

chrome and silver

With Christmas approaching, chrome and silver are an integral part of the tablescaping season. “Chrome and silver are the metals of the moment,” says Christodoulou. “They bring a subtle modernist edge while reflecting the tone of their surroundings.”

Whether it’s “part vintage/part contemporary” pieces like Oliver Bonas x Shrimps’ sculptural daffodil holders or H&M’s set of shiny snack bowls, which “nod toward old school cinema glamour,” the trend is rooted in mid-century influences.

A top choice from Christodoulou, H&M’s silver serving bowls are ideal for hosting. “This set of glitter snack bowls feels like the epitome of old-school cinema glamour, the perfect upgrade for your box set nights.”
