Intel announces new initiatives targeting AI PC developers and hardware vendors

Intel launched the AI ​​PC Acceleration Program in October 2023 to connect independent hardware and software vendors with company resources. On Tuesday, the company announced two more initiatives under the overall plan. The first program, called the AI ​​PC Developer Program, is for software developers, and a separate program for independent hardware vendors will be added to the program. The PC chip maker believes the program will allow developers to better understand Intel’s ecosystem and become more proficient in developing tools for the artificial intelligence PC era.

The expansion of the company’s AI PC Acceleration Program will now focus on helping software developers easily adopt new AI technologies at scale. Intel will provide software developers and vendors with tools, workflows, AI deployment frameworks and development kits for using Intel Core Ultra processors.

Intel will help independent hardware vendors prepare, optimize and enable their hardware for the chipmaker’s artificial intelligence computers. Upon compliance with its standards, partners will have access to Intel’s Open Labs, which will provide technical and joint engineering support early in the development phase of their hardware solutions and platforms. These programs are designed to serve as places of learning and partnerships with developers and hardware vendors to create solutions for Intel.
