Lucknow, Nov 2 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday attended the fourth convocation of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, and congratulated the graduating students and wished them success in their future endeavours.
The Chief Minister said that the university is a matter of pride for Uttar Pradesh as well as the country and credited the law graduates for playing an important role in strengthening the judicial system of the country.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that for India, religion is not just worship but a way of life and performing one’s duties sincerely is the true religion. He stressed that a strong judicial system is essential for democracy, saying, “The stronger the judiciary, the easier it will be to achieve the objectives of good governance.”
Referring to the ancient ideal of Ram Rajya, he said that today just and fair governance can be realized through modern systems of good governance.
Highlighting the government’s efforts to strengthen the judiciary, the Chief Minister said the state administration was promoting the use of e-courts, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), cyber law training and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
He said that modern infrastructure including classrooms, sports complexes and hostels is being developed in the universities along with skill development and training for judicial officers, prosecutors, police and administrative officials.
The Chief Minister informed that integrated court complexes are being developed in Uttar Pradesh, funds have already been released for 10 districts.
These complexes will have all levels of courts, advocates’ chambers and residential facilities in a single complex. He said that Allahabad High Court has become a model of world class infrastructure.
“To ensure speedy justice for women and children, more than 380 fast-track and POCSO courts have been set up, while Lok Adalats are being strengthened to promote speedy and amicable dispute resolution. Forensic laboratories have been set up in every police range, and the Uttar Pradesh State Forensic Institute now provides special training to youth,” CM Yogi said.
He said that efforts are underway to integrate e-courts, e-policing, e-prosecution and e-forensic services on a unified digital platform to make the justice system faster, more transparent and efficient.
