New Delhi, Nov 16 (IANS) RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya on Sunday made serious allegations of humiliation and physical intimidation, forcing her to leave her crying parents and sisters.

He said, “None of you should follow my path, no family should have a daughter or sister like Rohini.”
His distressed statements have heightened speculation over deepening rifts within the Yadav family, especially after the party’s poor performance in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections 2025.
These latest emotional outbursts come just a day after Rohini posted cryptic and controversial messages announcing her decision to step away from public and political life.
In her Sunday post, she did not name anyone, nor did she reveal who ‘they’ were, but on Saturday, she wrote on Twitter: “I am quitting politics and I am rejecting my family… Sanjay Yadav and Rameez asked me to do the same… and I am taking all the blame.”
Rohini has directly accused Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Khan, close to Tejashwi Yadav, of forcing her into this decision.
A doctor by profession, Rohini earned praise across the country after donating her kidney to Lalu Prasad Yadav in 2022. She had been an active presence in Tejashwi’s campaign, but signs of trouble emerged months ago when she unfollowed several RJD leaders, reportedly angry over the ouster of her brother Tej Pratap Yadav.
In the 2025 elections, RJD got only 25 seats, while NDA got 202 seats, which is one of the most devastating setbacks for the party.
Rohini’s emotional messages, allegations of pressure, humiliation and abandonment have now made the family’s internal discord public, raising serious questions over the future harmony of both the Yadav family and the RJD.
