Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday accused the Congress of “insulting” after former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, when he suspects the surgical strike by the armed forces in retaliation against terrorist attacks.
Raising such questions, Chouth said that the Congress’s “supporter Pakistan” thinking was said. The opposition party was working to reduce the morale of the country “Please a special vote bank.”
“Questioning the surgical strike, senior Congress leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has insulted not only the army but the whole country. This is a living example of Pakistan’s thinking. To please a special vote bank, the Congress is working repeatedly to break the morale of the country and explains the brave security forces of the country.
He said, “Questioning the sacrifice of the martyrs shows that even today, the Congress is not hesitant to put the country’s identity at stake for vote bank politics. Even today, the Congress is afraid to make a decisive statement against terrorism.”
Meanwhile, BJP MP Sambbit Patra launched a scary attack against the Congress, labeled the party’s functioning committee (CWC) as a Pakistan Working Committee.
“From outside, they are the Congress Working Committee (CWC), but from inside, they are PWC (Pakistan Working Committee),” Patra said at a press conference.
The remarks made by former Punjab Chief Minister and Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi stopped the controversy by demanding evidence of surgical strikes by the Indian Armed Forces in the Pakistan region in the past under the BJP government at the Center. Suspecting the strike, the former Punjab CM said that he has always demanded evidence.
“To date, I could not know where (surgical) strike took place, where men were killed at the time, and where this happened in Pakistan. Will we not know if a bomb has been dropped in our country?
Nobody came to know … I have always demanded (proof). But today, people’s wounds need to bend. We demand that the government do something. Tell people that they (Pahgam are criminals of terrorist attack) and punish them, ”Channi said at a press conference. (ANI)
