Inside Jeff Bezos’s 417-foot super luxurious yacht

The second richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos has extravagant hobbies like owning a superyacht and buying mega mansions, New York Post informed of.

“Kaoru”, which is 417 feet long, is the world’s largest sailing yacht and is owned by the founder of Amazon.

Koru means “loop” or “coil” in the Māori language and is often a symbol of new beginnings.

The super yacht has three massive 229-foot masts that power it up to a speed of 20 knots. It has 36 crew members and twin propellers.

There is also a wooden mermaid-style statue at the bow of the luxury boat that bears a striking resemblance to Bezos’ partner Lauren Sanchez.

The ship includes a pool on deck, an indoor and outdoor bar, hot tubs, dining rooms and cabins.

A second “support boat”, named Abeona after the Roman goddess of outward journeys, accompanies Koru on her journey.

It has an on-deck helipad, an additional two staterooms for four guests, and 45 crew and support staff.

The ship’s masts are so high that Dutch officials considered tearing down the 95-year-old Koningshaven Bridge to allow the ship to cross the 131-foot span on its journey from the Oceanco shipyard in Alblasserdam to the North Sea via Rotterdam.

However, following a public outcry, plans were changed and the superyacht was moved to a shipyard.
