Elon Musk’s deep fake video left a South Korean woman scammed and she lost over $49,000.

The woman was duped by the scammer into believing that she was talking to the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX.

According to one, the woman came in contact with the scammer on Instagram Independent Report.

The woman was led to believe that the man was Elon Musk, as the man shared fake photos, pretended to talk about his children and described how he contacted his fans randomly.

The woman told South, “I experienced something like a dream last year. On July 17, ‘Musk’ added me as a friend on Instagram. Although I have been a big fan of Musk after reading his autobiography, At first I was skeptical about it.” Korean broadcaster kbs,

“‘Musk’ sent me his ID card and a photo of himself at work. Additionally, ‘Musk’ talked about his kids and about getting a helicopter to work at Tesla or SpaceX. He also told That he contacts fans randomly.” Added.

The man reportedly used a deep fake video of the Neuralink founder to dupe the woman.

During the video call, the man also expressed his love for her.

“‘Musk’ even said, ‘I love you, you know that?’ When we made a video call,” the woman said.
