Indian students in Iran “have not slept on three nights”

One of the hundreds of Indian medical students from Israeli, who intensifies the Israeli strike across the country, “I woke up at 2:30 pm on Friday and woke up for the blasts and reached the basement. We had not slept since then.”

With explosions a few kilometers from the student hostels and apartments, fear is increasing – and therefore argues for the Government of India: empty us before too late.

Imtisal, a 22 -year -old third -year MBBS student at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, says more than 350 Indian students are currently nominated in their university alone.

“We are trapped inside our apartment basement. We listen to the blasts every night. One of the explosions was just 5 km away. We did not sleep in three days,” he told Annie on the phone. Originally from Handwara in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, he said that the university has suspended classes and students are avoiding agitation due to bombing.

While the university administration has been in touch with the students, ANI said that they are now relying on most Indian embassy advice and safety instructions and coordination for the next stages.

Mohidin said, “We request the government of India to evacuate us before the situation deteriorates. The embassy has shared the helpline and is in touch, but we are frightened and need to go home.”
