Large-scale operations in the West Coast and desert areas
The exercise, coordinated by the Western Naval Command, will be conducted in the Gulf and desert areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat and in the North Arabian Sea. Major formations participating include the Army Southern Command, Western Naval Command and South Western Air Command, supported by the Indian Coast Guard, BSF and other central agencies to enhance inter-agency coordination.
Focus on integrated warfare and joint preparation
TSE-2025 will validate joint operating procedures and improve real-time coordination across multiple domains. The exercise will also strengthen integrated communications networks and sharpen response capabilities for future multi-theatre scenarios.
Deploying major military platforms
The exercise will involve warships of the Indian Navy, fighter and support aircraft of the Indian Air Force, and amphibious units of the Army and Navy, including INS Jalashwa and Landing Craft Utility (LCU) ships. Carrier-based naval aviation will work with shore-based air force assets, highlighting increased inter-service air power synergy.
Emphasis on emerging battlefield
The drill will test advanced capabilities in Cyber Operations, Electronic Warfare (EW) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) while showcasing indigenous defense systems in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
Sharing the gist of the exercise, Headquarters Integrated Defense Staff posted on Ex (formerly Twitter) saying, “Trishul symbolizes strength in unity. The gallant soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces are conducting #ExTRISHUL to improve joint operations and interoperability, showcasing tri-service synergy across diverse terrains and missions.”
