All three victims were from the southern state of Kerala.

Jerusalem:

An Indian national was killed and two others were injured on Monday when an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon struck an orchard near Israel’s northern border community of Magariot, officials said.

All three victims were from the southern state of Kerala.

Zaki Heller, spokesman for the relief service Magen David Adom (MDA), told PTI that the missile hit Margaliot, a Moshav (collective farming community) in the northern Galilee region of Israel at around 11 am on Monday. A plantation.

Patnipin Maxwell from Kollon, Kerala, was killed in the attack. His body was identified at Ziv Hospital, official sources said.

Bush Joseph George and Paul Melvin were injured and taken to a hospital for treatment, they said.

An official source told PTI: “George sustained injuries on his face and body and was admitted to Bellinson Hospital in Petah Tikva. He underwent surgery, is recovering well and has been kept under observation. He is available with Indian family conversation.”

Melvin suffered minor injuries and is currently hospitalized at Ziv Hospital in the northern Israeli city of Safed. He hails from Idukki district of Kerala.

The MDA said earlier that one foreign worker was killed and seven others injured in the attack.

The attack is believed to have been carried out by the Lebanese Shia Hezbollah faction, which has been firing rockets, missiles and drones into northern Israel every day since October 8 in support of Hama in the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip Sri Lanka.

The MDA said a total of seven foreign workers were injured in the attack, two of them seriously, and were taken to Beilinson, Rambam and Ziv hospitals by ambulance and Israeli Air Force helicopter.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Monday they responded by shelling the launch site with artillery.

The IDF also said the attack hit a gathering of Hezbollah members in the southern Lebanese town of Chihine and another Hezbollah location in Ayta ash-Shab.

Hezbollah has been carrying out attacks on northern Israeli communities and military posts since October 8, saying it is doing so in support of Gaza.

Skirmishes between Israel and Hezbollah have resulted in the deaths of 7 Israeli civilians and 10 IDF soldiers.

Hezbollah has released the names of 229 members killed by Israel in the latest conflict. Most of Hezbollah’s casualties occurred in Lebanon, but some occurred in Syria.

Since 8 October, 37 operatives of other groups, one Lebanese soldier and at least 30 civilians have also been killed.
