Michael Kugelman, the leading US foreign policy expert, praised the Indian leadership response to Pakistan as a part of Operation Sindoor. He highlighted how India’s reaction to the crisis showed a strong leadership.
Given that the Pahalgam terror attack was different from previous crises, Michael Kugelman said, ‘This crisis was very different on so many levels. First, the nature of the attack which triggers this crisis … was unusually cruel. The fact is that citizens, tourists were targeted, and to be a single religion to their religion. I think, India had a special type of painful effect on the ways that we have not seen with the previous ones, which I think the Government of India needs and of course many, a particularly strong vengeance of the Indian public “.
He insisted, “The intensity of the initial Indian aerial attack in Pakistan was a magnitude that we have not seen for several decades since the 1971 war. So this is a big difference”.
Speaking to ANI, Kugelman noticed that with long -lasting enmity in the previous military crises, “This is another reason that so many capitals worldwide, Washington and London and various capitals in the London and European Union and Middle East, were concerned about the direction of this crisis.”
He also noted the leadership difference between India and Pakistan during tension, Kugelman appreciated India’s response.
He said, “If you look at the last few crises between India and Pakistan- 2016, 2019, and now it is one recently, then it is only one government in India- Modi government, and the leadership has replied in a similar way- by hitting back, strength, confidence, disregard, and so on.”
Kugelman said that the results shown by the Government of India achieve their strategic and strategic goals to protect India’s important message from danger.
