Rajouri, Nov 3 (IANS) In a remarkable initiative under Operation Sadbhavana 2025, the Ace of Spades Division of the Indian Army deployed in the border area of Rajouri and Poonch districts has organized a National Unity Yatra for students of remote villages along the Line of Control (LoC).
The tour aims to broaden the horizons of these young minds by introducing them to the cultural, educational and developmental diversity of the country, inspiring them to dream big and contribute positively to the society.
As part of the tour, the students will visit prestigious institutions including the Southern Command of the Indian Army, the National Defense Academy (NDA), and the National Defense Law College as well as several other national and international centers of excellence.
Coming from areas that have faced cross-border shelling, these students are a symbol of courage and hope, and their participation highlights the Army’s commitment to promoting unity, peace and trust in the border communities.
Addressing the students, Major General Kaushik Mukherjee, GOC Ace of Spades Division encouraged them to make the most of this opportunity and serve as messengers of peace and national pride.
“Gain as much knowledge and experience as you can. This tour will inspire you to serve your country with pride and become ambassadors of unity in your region,” he said.
The students of both Rajouri and Poonch districts expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for this opportunity.
He said, “We are grateful to our Army for giving us the opportunity to see the strength and diversity of our country. We are proud of our Indian Army, which always stands with us and leads us towards a brighter future.”
This initiative is a shining example of peace, progress and partnership, reaffirming the Army’s dedication to empowering the youth in the border areas of the country.
