India team announced for T20I and ODI series, know who gets captaincy, star players dropped

The Indian men’s cricket team is currently on a Test series tour of Australia, while the women’s cricket team’s tour of Australia ended after a heavy defeat. The Indian women’s cricket team suffered a crushing defeat 0-3 in the three-match ODI series. After this series, now the women’s cricket team is ready to take on the West Indies. The Indian team will first play a 3-match T20I series against West Indies and then organize an ODI series. The Indian women’s cricket team has announced its participation in both series.

Star players leave the team

The women’s selection committee has announced the 15-member squad for India’s upcoming three-match T20I and ODI series against the West Indies. Star opener Shefali Verma has been left out of the team in both series due to poor form. Yastik Bhatia, Shreyanka Patil and Priya Punia were injured. This is also the reason why these three players were not selected for the ODI and T20I series teams.

Starting from the T20I series

The first match of the 3-match T20I series will be played on December 15. After this, the second and third T20I matches will be played from December 17 to 19. All three matches will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The ODI series will begin on December 22. The second ODI will be held on December 24 and the third ODI will be held on December 27. All the matches of the ODI series will be played at the Kotabi Stadium in Vadodara.

India play three-match ODI series against West Indies: Harmanpreet Kaur (captain), Smriti Mandhana (vice-captain), Pratika Rawal, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol, Richa Ghosh (WK), Uma Chhetri (WK), Tejal Hassabnis, Deepti Sharma, Minnu Mani, Priya Mishra, Tanuja Kanwar, TI Tas Sadhu, Saima Thakur, Renuka Singh Thakur.
