“India practices a policy of zero tolerance against terrorism,” Em Jaishankar says during a meeting with UK Foreign Second Lummi

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday met UK Foreign Secretary David Lemi and appreciated the “strong condemnation” of the terrorist attack in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April.

Jaishankar reiterated that India practices a policy of zero tolerance against terrorism.

“Initially, I thank the United Kingdom government for strong condemnation of barbaric terrorist attacks in Pahgam in the center region of Jammu and Kashmir and expects my solidarity and support for your solidarity and support for India in the fight against terrorism.

On 23 April, the UK Prime Minister Kir Stmper called the terrorist attack in Kashmir “completely disastrous” and said that his views were with the attacks and the people affected by the people of India.

“The terrible terrorist attack in Kashmir is completely destructive today. My views are with those affected, their loved ones and the people of India,” the Star posted on X.

An all-party delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad visited Britain from 31 May to 3 June, to abstract the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April and later Operation Sindoor.

The All-party parliamentary delegation from India concluded a detailed conversation with the House of Commons President, UK and Indian media members, and a detailed conversation with all party parliamentary groups (APPG) on India, and all party parliamentary groups (APPGs). An official statement of the Indian High Commission has discussions focused on the zero-oppression approach of India through Operation Sindoor and India’s zero-oppression for cross-border terrorism.

Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Lammi will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his second visit to India to discuss the ongoing economic and migration partnership.

The British High Commission said that talks between the Britain and the Government of India are undergoing talks to deepen and diversify the broader strategic partnership between the two countries to work for the working people in the UK. (AI)
