India, Nigeria come together on terrorism, Doval, Ribadu hold key discussions

India and Nigeria talks: Many important issues were discussed between India’s NSA Ajit Doval and Nigeria’s National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu. At the invitation of Ajit Doval, Nigeria’s National Security Advisor Nuhu Ribadu visited India from November 4 to 5, 2024. Nuhu Ribadu’s visit is considered important as strategic and counter-terrorism talks were held between India and Nigeria during this period. During the visit, Nigeria’s National Security Adviser also visited the National Security Guards Complex in Manesar.

These issues were discussed

The National Security Advisers of India and Nigeria held in-depth discussions on threats such as terrorism, extremism, radicalization in cyberspace, transnational crime, arms and drug trafficking. During the meeting, the two sides also discussed how to address challenges and strategically strengthen Indonesian partnership.

“Terrorism is not acceptable”

During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening cooperation in combating all forms of terrorism. Both countries’ national security advisers have said that terrorism in any form or manifestation is unjustifiable. During this period, the two countries’ national security advisers also agreed to strengthen bilateral capacity-building cooperation and strengthen cooperation in the international field.
