Mumbai, October 8 (IANS) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) spokesperson Shriraj Nair said on Wednesday that the country is now inspired by development -oriented politics after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s head of the government and entered the 25th year. He said that after the Modi government came to power, India has been on the path of progress in the true sense.
Speaking to IANS, Shriraj Nair said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new direction to the country by completing 25 years as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and the Prime Minister of India. During the UPA rule, Hindus were weakened by the politics of appeasement and the false story of Hindu terrorism. However, ever since the Modi government has come to power, India has moved towards development and the construction of Lord Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The historical step has been decided to remove Article 370.
He also commented on a six -member delegation of the ruling Trinamool Congress of West Bengal, who visited Agartala, Tripura on Wednesday to assess the “political situation” in the state. The visit came a day after BJP workers allegedly vandalized the party office.
Nair said, “In West Bengal, the government led by Mamta Banerjee is doing politics of appeasement, which is making the lives of Hindus difficult. Atrocities against Hindu women, as well as physical attacks on MPs and MLAs, are being recorded on camera and are being shared in the country and abroad. The West Bengal government is effectively giving the Muslim community to the Muslim community and the people of Bengal are suffering from the upcoming assembly. The government is sure to bear the consequences.
Meanwhile, Bengal Minister Shashi Panja strongly criticized the Tripura government and the police at a press conference at Trinamool Bhawan in Kolkata.
He said, “There is an intolerant and violent BJP government in Tripura. Monday’s incident suggests how those who claim to protect democracy are behaving differently. The video evidence is clear,” he alleged that the barbarity was in the presence of the police, which he described as “silent spectators”.
