India Building Material Sector Hiring Boom is experiencing: Report

Mumbai, April 8 (PTI) India’s construction material sector is experienced by rapid urbanization, infrastructure development and fueling bounce by industrial expansion, a report says.

According to a report by Staffing Company Ciel HR, the recruitment of recruitment between January 2023 and January 2025 increased by 30 percent in the construction material sector in the country, titled ‘Building Material Sector – Talent Trends and Insights’.

“Disposable income will increase, we expect a strong growth in the areas of construction, urbanization and real estate. It will directly promote the construction material industry, create new opportunities and make long -term progress,” said Aditya Narayan Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Ciel HR Services.

The construction material area of ​​India employs more than 5.5 lakh professionals.

Quantitative Surveys are based on the insights of 105 construction material companies working across the country and job trends are based on the analysis of 2,763 job postings on various job portals.

This further discovered that with emerging technologies such as 3D printing, AI, and IOT Rilap manufacturing processes, demand for special roles in material science, stability and advanced manufacturing technologies continued to increase.

Companies are actively looking for talent in green certificates and life cycle analysis, highlighting a change towards sustainable and technology-operated operations, said.

The most demanded roles include plant manager, production manager, supply chain manager, sales manager, environment and stability specialist, design engineer, R&D engineer, quality control, structural engineer and security engineer.

Despite the trends of holding strong work, the report found that the region has a significant gender inequality, responsible for 12 percent of women in the total workforce of the region, one of the lowest representation in major industries.

Meanwhile, the report also stated that in geographical locations, the trends of working are mostly concentrated in metro cities.

81 percent of job posting is concentrated in Tier I cities, including Hyderabad (14 percent), Bengaluru (13 percent), Delhi/NCR (12 percent), Chennai (8 percent), Ahmedabad (7 percent), and Pune (7 percent).

With India’s continuous focus on smart cities, green construction and industrial expansion, these metro is expected to remain of primary recruitment destinations, the report states.
