India and the United Kingdom successfully concluded a historic Free Trade Agreement (FTA), with a double taxation family conference on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the successful FTA deal. Describing the FTA deal as ambitious and mutually beneficial, PM Modi stressed that these agreements will promote extensive strategic partnerships and trade, investment, innovation and employment generation in both economies and both economies.

The two leaders welcomed the successful conclusion of an ambitious and mutually beneficial India-UK Free Trade Agreement with a double contribution conference.”

The conclusion of a balanced, justified and ambitious FTA is expected to cover trade in goods and services, increase bilateral trade, generate new avenues for employment, raise standard of living and improve the overall welfare of citizens in both countries. This will unlock the new ability to develop products and services jointly for global markets for both countries. The agreement strengthens the strong foundation of the India-UK broader strategic partnership, and paves the way for a new era of cooperation and prosperity.
