The Health Minister further said that this achievement marks a proud stride towards a Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar & Viksit Bharat.
“Inspired by the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji and the spirit of Seva and Bharat First, this achievement marks a proud stride towards a Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar & Viksit Bharat,” he said.
Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, aims to strengthen health services for women and children by focusing on access, quality and awareness. Conceived as a Jan Bhagidari campaign, it brings together government bodies, private hospitals and healthcare professionals, promoting an inclusive model of healthcare delivery that reaches every corner of the country.
In line with India’s broader developmental goals, the campaign leverages platforms like Anganwadis to expand its reach and sustain maternal and child health programs. It complements key initiatives like Mission Shakti dedicated to women safety and empowerment and Nutrition 2.0 tackling malnutrition among women and children.
The campaign prioritized women’s health through comprehensive screening and tailored medical services. Health camps under the initiative offer screening for skin issues, hypertension, anemia, reproductive health problems, breast and cervical cancer, diabetes, tuberculosis (TB), and sickle cell disease (SCD). Special counseling sessions were also organized in tribal areas to ensure equitable health care.
These services, supported by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, aim to address the gaps identified in national health surveys, ensure early detection and treatment to improve the health of women in urban and rural areas.
