Based on this innings, he kept MS Dhoni in a special list. Pant is now third on the list of players with the most 50+ scores and a strike rate of 100+ in Indian Test cricket. He scored more than 50 runs in Test cricket and had a strike rate of more than 100 on 5 occasions. Together they surpassed MS Dhoni, Mohammad Azharuddin and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The three batsmen have done so only four times.

Pant scores half-century in just 36 balls
Rishabh Pant scored his half-century off just 36 balls in the third Test match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill took charge of India’s innings. India were in trouble after losing 4 wickets for 86 runs on the first day, but Pant handled the innings brilliantly and partnered with Gill to score 96 runs. Gill scored 90 points in this game. He was just 10 runs away from his century.
