“We have made significant changes to tighten our regulation of the water industry and ensure that companies are taken into consideration. With a dedicated large workforce and increased funding, our authorities are exposing and working on failures to follow environmental law.”

Meanwhile, MPs have said that the system of regulating water companies requires “a full overhaul” as the sector increased the customer bills to expand the failed infrastructure and deal with pollution.

The Public Account Committee (PAC) said that the government should work with urges to strengthen the monitoring of the region for reconstruction of the trust and to ensure improvement in its poor performance.

In a report released on Tuesday, the committee highlighted how the bill is expected to grow at the fastest rate in 20 years, while the customer Trust in the area is an all -time low.

“It is being kept right in the end, to secure our water supply with record £ 104 billion investment in the next five years to support economic growth and eliminate sewage that enter our rivers and seas.
