A man attempted suicide after allegedly killing his wife with an axe, in Rajasthan’s Banswara district on Tuesday, police said.
According to the police, after killing his wife early on Tuesday morning in Poonia Kheda village of the district, the man set her on fire and jumped into the dry grass.
Danpur police station in-charge Rajveer Singh said Raju (32) allegedly killed his wife Nani (30) with an ax on suspicion of her “friendship” with another man.
Following this, Raju attempted suicide but was rescued and is undergoing treatment at the district hospital, the SHO said.
