With the autumn internationals approaching, Slade scored 23 points with two tries, one penalty and five conversions.

They were clearly in Chiefs’ favor in the first half, but both sides struggled to overcome them, with Slade’s penalty the only score of a disjointed and forgettable first quarter.
Exeter suffered a blow when prop Will Goodrich-Clark was replaced by Ethan Burger due to a hand injury, but he overcame the setback to score an excellent try.

Within 90 seconds Exeter scored another goal as their opponents failed to deal with an up-and-under who broke loose. The home side regained possession and a quick transfer sent Slade on a 30-metre run to the line.
Quins’ troubles continued when number eight Chandler Cunningham-South had to be forced off the field with a leg injury, before he made another up-and-under fielding error, allowing Skinner to win the kick and chase.
Slade added his third conversion and Exeter had a 24–0 halftime lead.
The hosts secured their bonus-point try within four minutes of the restart when Fisilau crashed over to reward a period of sustained pressure.

With 25 minutes remaining Exeter substitute Bachuki Tchumbadze was shown a yellow card for a high challenge on Jack Cunningham, but it did not matter as Quins never looked to take advantage of the prop’s absence.
Tchumbadze returned to the sin-bin to be replaced by Quins captain Caden Fife for a deliberate knock-on, soon followed by Harry Browne for a high challenge.
Against 13 men, Exeter took full advantage, with Slade scoring his second try, completing a miserable afternoon for the Londoners.
