The Meteorological Department of India (IMD) has issued a flash flood guidance bulletin, which has been warned of at least flood risk in many districts, including Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Remi, Jammu, Rajouri, Ponch, Baramulla and a Sanka.
In response, the District Disaster Management Officers (DDMAS) have been urged to take necessary precautions and measures according to the protocol installed to ensure public safety and reduce risks. Further updates will follow the IMD advice.
