i am a celebrity Changes are being made to ensure Fresh Crop of Competitors Don’t face bushtucker trials again and again.
For the first half of the series, viewers decide who takes part in the show’s elaborate tests, in which the stars are forced to confront their fear of creepy crawlies, heights or enclosed spaces.
In recent years fans have shown a tendency to repeatedly vote for the same person to face challenges – but ITV producers are putting pressure With a new rule on it.
according to mirrorCompetitors will be allowed to perform only two Bushtucker trials in a row. If they have completed the challenge for two days, fans will not be able to vote for them on the third day – but will be able to vote again after that.
This will prevent stars like DJ Dean McCullough from being forced to undergo a total of seven trials throughout his time on the show last year.
It has been reported that the rule change has been made to prevent some stars from getting more screen time than others, which will hopefully level the playing field at eliminations in the second half of the series.
A source said: “This is a good move for fans of the show, so we don’t see the same faces doing the trials, as well as highlighting new favourites. It’s also a win-win for celebs who are keen to have more opportunities to bring out their personalities.”
Other stars who were voted off to face various challenges over the years include Gillian McKeith, Helen Flanagan, Janice Dickinson, Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage.
