IGP Kashmir Zone VK Bird-IPS presided over a security review meeting at the Conference Hall of PCR Kashmir to review the security arrangements for Muharram, International Yoga Day and other upcoming events.
The meeting was attended by IG CRPF Srinagar, JD Sib Srinagar, Kashmir Zone Disgon, CID Kashmir, SSB Srinagar, CRPF South/North Srinagar, BSF; SSSP of Kashmir Zone, PCR Kashmir, Traffic City, Railways, Traffic Rural, APCR, CID CIK, Security, DC SB Srinagar; SP PC Srinagar, SP CID SBK, SP Telecom and other officers.
At the beginning of the meeting, the participating officials gave information about the chair on the security system planned for smooth and peaceful conduct of Muharram processions and other important events. Security measures related to the management of condolence processions, mob control, traffic regulation and maintenance of law and order were also discussed. IGP Kashmir also reviewed the International Yoga Day system and took stock of security and logical preparations for the incident.
IGP Kashmir directed the officials to ensure silly security system to ensure peaceful conduct of events. He also instructed the authorities to increase monitoring on Anis and Prank Mongers and to increase vigilance during night processions. The authorities were directed to hold coordination meetings with all the stake holders, seeking their cooperation for the smooth conduct of all events. He directed the district heads to prepare comprehensive security strategies and route plans in their respective districts to prevent any untoward incident.
The meeting concluded with a strong commitment to all officials to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of upcoming events. ,
