SIGP Kashmir VK Burdy-IPS today chaired a crime and security review meeting of Kashmir Zone in PCR Kashmir. The meeting was attended by all Range Dysag, District SSSP and other senior officials.
In a handout to GNS, police said that initially, IGP Kashmir overthrew the security situation in the Kashmir region. After this, after the presentations of the district SSSP, their efforts were highlighted in prevention of crime and maintenance of law and order in their respective districts. Along with the resolve of general crime cases, discussions around NDP, UAPA, absconding and other crimes related to cases related to cases. Action taken under preventive laws and pending inquiries was also discussed.
IGP Kashmir appreciated the efforts of the district heads in preventing crime and emphasized the need to improve the quality of the investigation. He also underlined the need to improve the sentence rates through the installation of a strong follow -up system to gain confidence in cases related to narco and terror. Assessing security measures, the IGP Kashmir urged the authorities to practice the domination of the region and patrol the area at night to strengthen the security grid.
At the end of the meeting, IGP Kashmir reiterated the J&K police commitment in maintaining security and security in the region.
