Sambhal in view of the Leader of Opposition of Rahul Gandhi (LOP) Rahul Gandhi, Sambhal, September 18 (IANS), recently from Congress booths, allegations of systemic vote deletion, Samjwadi Party MP Sambhal, Zia ur Rehman Barak said on Thursday that if he is making such claims, there should be “some basis for this”.
Talking to IANS, Zia-ur-Remon Barak said: “Rahul Gandhi is not just a political leader-he holds the constitutional position of Lop. If he is making such a serious allegation, we should believe that there is some truth behind it. I want a strong democracy, and unfortunately, it is working for some constitution.
He said, “If Rahul Gandhi has raised this issue, he will provide more clarity or action on it in the coming days.”
Gandhi recently launched a scary attack on the Election Commission of India (ECI), alleging that votes in Congress-Heart booths were being removed through fake login through a centralized system. However, he stopped expanding whether the Congress would pursue legal support or file a formal complaint with the Commission.
In response, the ECI dismissed the allegations as “baseless and factually wrong”, especially referring to claims about the Alund assembly constituency of Karnataka.
The SP MP also reacted to a new political line by Amit Satam, head of the newly appointed Mumbai unit of BJP, who controversially stated that the upcoming BMC elections were about Mumbai’s “security” and “a mine” should not be made a mayor – a statement was interpreted as a communal reference.
Criticizing the comment, Barak said: “No one can stop anyone from becoming a mayor, nor can anyone impose the mayor of his choice. It is a democracy ruled by the Constitution. People have the right to vote, and the public decides that the mayor, MLA, or MP -Bhajpa or no one person.”
He further stopped communal tension on the BJP.
“This mentality is repeatedly exposed – whether in speeches, rallies, or press conferences. But there is no real hatred between Hindus and Muslims. These are few people who are trying to create a partition for political gains,” Berk said.
Expressing confidence in the people, he said: “I believe the public will intelligently answer. One of the many candidates targeted by such statements can only win – and this will be the real answer to this dangerous rhetoric.”
